Nutritional Therapy

Raw crackers nutritional therapyAn understanding of how the amazing human body works and interacts with the environment enables us to develop a deeper respect for it. Nutritional therapy can put you back in touch with your body and can help you find the approach to food and eating that best suits your unique lifestyle and constitution and also helps you to really thrive.

In my own personal life I have struggled with an under active thyroid and have also gone through a long fertility journey in order to finally reach this point of expecting my first child. I am therefore particularly interested in using nutritional therapy to work with women who are struggling with hormonal issues, or difficulties conceiving. I am also interested in those experiencing thyroid difficulties. This ties in strongly with the adrenals and stress as stress is a major player in influencing the function of the thyroid as well as the reproductive system.

I bring in my years of experience as a yoga teacher and bodywork practitioner as well as a life long interest in health, wellbeing and the body mind connection to support you to overcome your health challenges.

What is naturopathic nutrition?

Naturopathic nutrition is a science based understanding of the body which also takes into account genetic, environmental and pyscho-emotional influences on the functioning of the body and the state of its health. It looks at a person as a whole and addresses not only physical but also emotional and mental wellbeing and acknowledges the interconnection between the three.

In naturopathic nutritional therapy we look at the root causes of particular ailments and then take a holistic approach to supporting you to come back to a greater state of balance. This may involve lifestyle advice, nutritional recommendations and sometimes supplements.

What to expect?

An initial consultation lasts 90 minutes and will look in depth at your personal history and the systems of your body including how you feed yourself. A personalised nutritional therapy plan suited to your particular constitution, history and the demands of your lifestyle is devised together. There will then be at least one follow up lasting 60 minutes.

In my experience it is much more beneficial to sign up for a package of ongoing support. It usually takes a long time for a health condition to develop and likewise it takes time to help the body back to health. Please click here for a look at the different packages.

Please contact me for a free 15 minute chat to see if we can work together.
